Dwayne Schroeder returned to Redeemer Lutheran in 2019, having previous served as pastor here from 1996 – 2001. Originally from Worthington, Minn., Pastor Schroeder attended Concordia University, St. Paul and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He and wife Sherrie served at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Daykin, Nebraska before coming to Redeemer in 1996. In 2001, Pastor Schroeder accepted a call to Fulda, Minn. About 18 miles from his boyhood home and returned to Oklahoma in 2006 as Pastor of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Bethany where he served until returning to Redeemer, Enid. I have been a member of Redeemer for 13 years. I enjoy presenting the children's sermon one Sunday a month. It is fun seeing the reactions and comments of the children!
The office of Secretary came open in September 2020 and I am privileged to hold this position. I have gotten to know Pastor Schroeder personally and professionally! I don't consider it a JOB, it's a learning experience.
Fellow parishioners are personal friends and fun to work with.
